Sponsor of the Week: Technip Canada

June 15, 2010

The 2010 Wreckhouse International Jazz & Blues Festival would not be possible without the support of our corporate and media sponsors. To show our appreciation for their support, Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues will be showcasing a different sponsor each week. This week’s sponsor of the week is Technip Canada.

Technip Canada is a leader in the fields of project management, engineering and construction in Canada’s oil and gas industry, offering a comprehensive portfolio of innovative solutions and technologies. Since 1997, Technip Canada has maintained its Eastern Canada base in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Technip Canada currently employs 90 people, with two-thirds employed in technical jobs as engineers, draftsmen and designers.

Technip Canada has built a reputation for technological advancement in a challenging environment and for creating and developing employment and business opportunities for the people of Atlantic Canada. In addition to the local staff of highly trained personnel with practical hands-on experience, Technip Canada has utilized its internal network of expertise to service many of the major Canadian oilfield development projects.

Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues is thrilled to welcome Technip Canada as one of the newest sponsors of the Wreckhouse International Jazz & Blues Festival. A contingency of employees working out of Technip’s St. John’s office was spotted enjoying the entertainment at several 2009 Festival events, and the performance and atmosphere made a lasting impression. Come July, WJB and Technip will be celebrating together all week long!

WJB would like to acknowledge and express gratitude for the contributions of Technip Canada, the sponsor of the week!
