Volunteer of the Week

May 17, 2010

Robert Lambe

Each week, WJB profiles one of its volunteers as part of its commitment to recognizing all their selfless contributions to our cause. This week, our featured volunteer is Robert Lambe.

Robert has volunteered with Wreckhouse Jazz & Blues since 2007; the kindness and diligence that he displays as a volunteer is a huge asset to our program. Over his four years as a WJB volunteer, Robert has served in a wide variety of roles, including ticketing agent, information representative and site security, and he has been a member of several of our stage and site crews. In recognition of his dedication, WJB awarded Robert the 2009 ‘Spirit of the Festival’ award!

Like most of our volunteers, Robert’s contributions do not end with Wreckhouse Jazz and Blues events. For example, Robert is a franchise player at the CLB Armory, where his care of the roller-skating program is unrivaled. He also helps out at the Miller Centre as a Volunteer Recreational Assistant, and he offers his time at the DVA Pavillion as well.

At 56 years, Robert is an avid photographer, and has a serious knack for electronics repair. You might call him a jack-of-all-trades!

Robert, you’re WJB’s volunteer of the week. Many thanks!
